Amazing pattern, it was easy to follow and the video instructions are very helpful! I’m 165cm/53 kg and did a size 38. The straps on the back make the dress fit as a glove around the waist, I’ll be definitely making it in other colors and a maxi dress as well. 🙂
Happy with this pattern! The video really helped me when the English translation of the instructions wasn’t clear enough for a beginner like me. I also appreciated that PDF allowed to print just the size I needed. As for the end result: the gap in the back of the dress was really too wide, so I wonder if that has to do with my body or with the pattern, but all in all it was a good learning experience for me 🙂 Will definitely recommend Alpha Patterns!
i love love love this pattern! It looked so good on and it fit so nicely! I was shocked because I bought it in a hurry and didn’t look at the reviews or even checked the description. I followed my usual size and finished the dress using french seams. I also altered the pattern so the dress was longer. it fits like a dream. The pattern was very easy to follow and is extremely beginner-friendly IMO. I just have a small issue with the pattern. Around the armpit on the pattern there is a corner (Picture attached) that either (1) shouldn’t be there or (2) needs to have a loop for the straps. I didn’t realize the bulge until I finished the dress so it feels too much work to seam rip it and add a loop, and if I cut it off I’m worried it would ruin the fit of the dress. I hope this review helps anyone who’s also following the pattern.
Very easy to follow and very detailed!! I enjoyed it a lot… but I made it a bit larger because my bust, waist and hips are 3 different sizes and I went with the larger one because I wanted to be sure it would fit and then I made some alterations…😅😅

This is a great beginner pattern for those who want to try their hand at making a bias cut slip dress. I appreciate the written instructions with pictures, and the video helps to see it all come together. I did a size 42 and a work around the cowl neck front being too booby is to lace the straps in a different manner as opposed to the crossed straps. I extended the dress to make an evening gown which was easy enough.
Definitely playing around with the pattern more in the future to make more!

I really love how the price was and then when I went to look at it i was a little confused because I didn’t see the English at first but once i printed everything out it all came together and I am going to try and recreate this myself but with this stretchy cotton fabric I have since I don’t have any silk or satin. i am going to put a little twist to it once I figure everything out. this will be my first project. wish me luck will update with pictures once done.

This was exactly the pattern I had been searching for and the dress turned out great! I had to alter some things to my portions and ended up having to add a zipper in the side as the (size 6) dress didn’t slip over my head nor could I step into the dress. I also don’t know if i missed the strap length somehow, but mine are quite short. Overall, I’m super happy with the results!
I’m very new to sewing and the slip dress is my first piece of clothing I’ve ever made. Being new it was a little rough starting out and the instructions are very basic. When I do it again, I’ll make sure my seams are finished properly and I adjust the pattern to fit my model. I’m a guy so I made this for a friend and I made the hips a little too small. I love it and she loves it, now it’s time to make one that fits properly. I’m looking forward to making other clothes from your patterns.

Very cute pattern and extremely easy to sew. I modified the lower back a little bit because I wanted it to sit more smoothly against my body but that was a personal fit choice and nothing against the pattern! Love that this pattern seller has layers and seam allowances included.

The pattern was super simple and quick to sew up! The video tutorial is also very helpful. It came out great, even though I think I could have sized up for an actual cowl neck effect, but I like how the bust area looks on my wearable toile. Used a thrifted pashmina for this one and will be making another dress with nicer fabric soon!

Easy to make! I bought two yards of fabric and had lots leftover – if you are better than me at laying out pattern pieces on a bias fold you could definitely buy less. The hardest part was making the bias tape.

The straps are very short, or maybe I didn’t understand how long they were supposed to be. My fabric isn’t stretchy so it is a bit hard to put on and I’m constantly worried about a nip slip but I feel stunning wearing it
